Ray of Hope —
ABOUT RAY OF HOPE SHELTER
Every year there are many cases of young girls being sexually assaulted and raped by either a family member or family friend in Samoa.
The Ray of Hope shelter was built as part of the Samoa Victim Support Group to take in girls who have been affected by this type of abuse and have become pregnant. This shelter is where they receive their first medical evaluations and care.
A group of volunteers who meet once a month to put together care bags and make items such as diaper bags, swaddles, reusable feminine hygiene pads, etc will be traveling to Samoa from September 1st - 14th to present these gifts to the victims at the Ray Of Hope shelter and provide volunteer services there.
We would like to thank you for being a part of this great cause and we hope that we can provide aid to not only these girls in Samoa but neighboring islands.
